Default How much vinyl seat fabric is needed?

    Hello all

I need to redo my driver seat. I bought 6 yards from SMS Fabrics, 3 yards of each style of vinyl, there are two different vinyls in each seat.

I figured, I would do both front seats and the back seat. Is this enough fabric? Thanks!

    Here is my seat.

I think that should be plenty. I am surprised that SMS didn't give you any yardage numbers. I believe several years ago when I talked to them about Recaro seat materials they told me @ 2 yards of the insert and 1.5-2 yards for the wrap. I could be wrong, but at 3 yards for each vinyl I think you will be fine.

    Good Luck!

Are you going to do the work yourself ---- or have it done? I would think that (if you are having it done) the upholstery shop would tell you how much to buy.

You'll also want to buy a bit extra, in case you need to make any repairs in the future.
