My 1964 Comet for your clean fox
1964 Comet 202 2dr sedan. Original 260 rebuilt by Kuntz, new generator, water pump, fuel pump, radiator, hoses, Holley 4 bbl carb, new reproduction Autolite Sta-Ful battery (maintenance free), Pertronix ignition, Holman Moody 4bbl intake, HM valve covers, HM air cleaner. Rebuilt 3spd C4 transmission. The 8" rear was rebuilt and features a Currie aluminum center section. I was told it has 3.50 gears, and it definitely has a limited slip differential of some sort. New fuel and brake lines too. New exhaust consists of Dougs ceramic long tube headers, 2 1/2" H-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and 2 1/4" tailpipes that exit right after the rear wheels. It sounds fantastic. The car rides on new BF Goodrich Silvertown Radials mounted on 15" steel wheels with poverty hubcaps. The tires are tall and throw the speedometer off, just a FYI. As for the exterior, it has been repainted, I'd say 7 out of 10, better than average quality, base coat/clear coat in the stock original silver turquoise. I'm not sure how much metal was replaced, I didn't do the work, but doesn't look like much. the drivers floor has a patch, but I would weld in a new front pan. The bumpers were rechromed, front and rear. New side mirrors, new windshield, new front marker lights (not currently installed), the grille is amazing as well as the taillight panel trim pieces. The rest of the trim is nice/decent. New reproduction FoMoCo label headlights. The interior is stock original turquoise bench, some paint fading on the dash, average condition. It has lap belts. The car is a great driver, I drive it all the time. In my opinion, the stock suspension and manual drum brakes could use some updating, but that's just me.
