Default Checkered pattern seats comon in LTD's??

Was in a yard the other day and stumbled on this fairly mint (little dirty, but very nice otherwsie) blue interior.
I grabbed the seatlbelts, interior and dash cover panels, but had never seen these seats
    before.

Very odd that exterior was really sun faded, but interior was still nice dark blue
like it never saw the sun. I didn't grab the seats, since my dads are in good shape
but was curious about the pattern.

Also had a lower dash panel that had two holes in the right side. One was for the fuel door release,
anyone hazard a guess as to what was in the hole next to that.

Trunk release maybe? I've seen that material before in other Ford products.

OK, thanks. Must have been some cover over that hole that was removed since this was a sedan.

And the other is a hole for the amp turn on for cars with Premium Sound radio.

Yes, those holes are normally covered by the fuse panel cover, or in some cases a black block-off plate.
