Guess it all depends on where you are located. I know a butcher that has a lot full of them right now on shells that will probably be scrapped.

Until last Wednesday, I had never seen a sunroof car in this state that had a rusty roof.
1984 Mustang GT owned since 1991 (first car). Mercury Mountaineer GT-40P engine, some suspension mods, currently undergoing a five lug SN95 brake upgrade and more suspension mods. Some minor body and interior mods have been done as well.

Default What are your Most Wanted Restoration Parts?

I think it is more of a wet verses dry climate, rather than just a northern salt issue. I've seen many cars from the wet and humid southeast with tiny roof bubbles on an otherwise clean and rust free car.

If I had the knowledge and skill to replace my sunroof roof, I'd buy a sunroof roof skin. I could use the sunroof drain tubes, too. I think the tubes might be rubber hoses run down the pillars. I'm not sure if they connect to anything or just drain down into the pillars. Anyone know the drain tubes' lengths?

Roof skins would be cool. Capri specific moldings would also be sweet.

    1) High Quality dash pads in all original interior colors.
    2) Hoses and belts with correct markings and parts numbers.
    3) Motorcraft BX-63 Battery. Actually all the batteries offered in 79-86 Mustangs but particularly the white case, BX-63 for my '84.

Seeking any and all interior pieces for my 79 RS. I need the rare Vaquero color. I believe it was 79-81 only, maybe 79-80 only. Mine is all there but toast due to baking in California desert for twenty years. PLease, Please, PLease if anyone knows where to find please message me. I don't want to change the interior to one of the more available colors if I don't have to. Thanks

NOS or new side moldings for 1979-1984 Mustangs. I have 5 of the 10 pieces so far. I wish someone would reproduce those.

Seconded. The last I checked (a month ago), the reproduction moldings are "still in final development." It is frustrating that they have been in this state for a couple years, but being optimistic perhaps this is a sign that they will be outstanding when finally finished/released.

Wiring harness from ignition module out. I see some new engine harnesses but that's not usually all that is necessary. And some Anny dash jewelry that is closer to original than some bits I see on rare occasion.

    Agreed on all of these.

Also, back in the day ARP used to have "Master Fastener Kits" that were engine family-specific. For example, if your 302-cid H.O. was in need of a rebuild, you could go to any ARP-authorized retailer and purchase/order one of these kits that contained every nut, bolt, and fastener your engine used. I'd like to find one of these kits. I've contacted ARP previously and they do not make these now.

I wish that I could find some front seat belt sleeves in Canyon Red for my 84. I bought some aftermarket ones and I have to repaint them to match. Bits just that the aftermarket sleeves are stiff and the texture just doesn't look right. My "female" sleeves are cracking to pieces. If I could just find those, I would be happy.
