Correct. '85 used two different styles of Y-pipe. The 4V style had a single light-off catalyst on the passenger
side, the CFI style has no pre-cat. And the main catalyst is also different for each. It's the same basic catalyst,
but the angle of the H-pipe end is different between the two, and 4V uses a flange, while CFI uses a slip joint
    and clamp.

I'm interested in finding Vaquero interior pieces for my 1979 Mustang Ghia. Dash pad, headliner and backerboard (sunroof), carpet are my primary unicorns and a set of Vaquero Recaro seats is my secondary unicorn. Finding Vaquero-colored pieces has been a difficult and unsuccessful process for me.

stock red 1979 steering wheel with ghia emblem center pad and cruise control buttons!!!They needed to make cruise control buttons more sturdy and center pad with a metal backing instead of plastic.I guess they didn't think people were going to mash them like they were horns.

Do you need the whole wheel, or just the bits to fix yours?

    Here's the center pad w/emblem:

I have the knack, I guess. I was having a tough time with the switches and was about to give up, but then I got lucky.

Rear interior quarter plastics (sail panels) should be reproduced. They are always either scratched badly, hacked out for speakers, of sun faded and brittle. I'm not sure if anyone ever reproduced the metal mounting strip in the rear bumper covers, but that needs to happen to.

In terms of Saleen specific restoration parts, for me it's the air cleaner lid decal, wolf steering wheel and cal custom alarm. Technically my car was a Wolf steering wheel delete as the original owner wanted to keep his cruise control, but I want the wheel anyway (and according to the Saleen Book it would have come with the car uninstalled so I should have one). I've been fortunate enough to find the spats and air dam...which are very hard to find and the bane of most 85 & early 86 Saleen restorers existence, but the decal, wheel and alarm have simply replaced the spats and air dam as being impossible to find. I hope I can afford them if I ever do find them (that's the other problem).

In terms of regular 85 mustang parts I would like some factory battery cables, an NOS master cylinder lid, and some NOS seat upholstery (yeah right).
    Cheers!

Roof skins, front frame rail and shock tower sheetmetal. Roof skins will be in high demand. as 90% of the fox bodies I look at always seem to blister at the rear seams and front pillar seams on the roof. Up here in the northeast it is very common.

Too bad. I see them go for 200-300 in mint complete condition. Often you have to duke it out with other buyers. I have no doubt a repop replacement roof skin would be a good seller.
