Heater box different between mercury capri and mustng?

Well just like the title says are the heater boxes and wire harness the same in a 82 capri and mustang. A member here needs one for his mustang I have one I pulled from my 82 capri and the connectors are in my harness but not his. Both cars are 82 and both had a/c. I thought they would be the same but he cant find the connectors in his harness. Maybe they used a different one for non a/c cars can someone more knowledgable than me chime in thanks in advance.

I don't have an 82 so I can't answer this by seeing the parts. What I can tell you is that both the 82 Mustang and Capri used the same part numbers for the HVAC housing (upper and lower section) assembly with a/c. Since they also used the same control panels, it is safe to say they used the same vacuum harnesses. This is for a Mustang or Capri with factory air. The harnesses and everything else would be different for a car with dealer added on a/c.
