Neutral Drive Switch (NDS) is the same position you put the key in for Key on Engine Off (KOEO), in other words the ignition key position in the middle of off and engine start.

#30 refers to PIN 30 on the main connector to the EEC4 computer. In this case, PIN 30 goes to Neutral Drive Switch, aka the Neutral Safety Switch. The switch that is engaged when you press the clutch pedal to the floor before you actually start the car.

    ignition run circuit
This would be a wire from the ignition switch that has power with the key in the run position.

    to ignition switch
The red/blue wire gets power from the ignition switch in the start position. the red/green gets power from the ignition switch in the run position.

    ↓to ignition run
This is for a car with an idiot light. The light is connected to an ignition switch power source in the run position. The ECU provides the ground when the vehicle isn't running.

On Fox Chassis cars the ignition switch is located lower on the steering column than the key lock. There is a linkage that connects the lock to the switch and activates the switch. While you are in there, take a good look at the ignition switch. They are known to separate and can cause all kinds of gremlins including burning a car to the ground.
