I just realized something. You're 8.8" is sitting on an engine stand. That is the sweetest thing I've seen! When the U bolts are tightened done, does that stop it from rolling nose down?

I might have to make one of these.

You put in hi-tech with a USB, surely there is a Bluetooth capable deck out there too and not need CD's?

    (PS: console looks wicked!)

I have no idea what is actually available. We put a vintage AM/FM cassette in our 79 coupe. Jackson was using an FM transmitter for his iPhone for it.

I did a quick look at bluetooth and saw one place but really don't know what would fit or not. I'm thinking a full on CD head unit will not fit in the original opening and you would have to go with the DIN size.

If you are looking to keep the stock radio opening, then here are a couple of choices for you.

    http://www.classiccarstereos.com/197...ng-radios.html

Otherwise your best option may be to cut the opening for a single DIN unit and then you can use virtually any modern stereo you want. Good Luck!

That looks amazing Dave! Did you tape and paint the front pin stripes the same as the body colour? I really love that factory body stripe too. Are you going to have it redone on the new front? I bet a auto vinyl place could recreate it easily...or is painted?

I have a cowl hood I'm planning to put on our blue coupe with the egg crate front. Maybe I need to use a lower air dam with it too now because yours really looks good!

Is the car fully on the road now?

Now if we could only contract Ed BMW Rider to build us a few of these to use!

i mask the 1/8 pin stripe when I paint the black satin to keep the original look but originally I think it paint over the black and this is only temporary cause I want to repaint all the car next year and probably keep the original side striping, I drove it about 100 milles now and have to correct some alignment issue but all in all it ride awesome, I always love the look of pace car front end on coupe

I'm not sure I could do it for a justifiable price. And if everyone had one, mine wouldn't be unique. It is cool to see another coupe with the PC front end and cowl hood

The coupe looks great! Really cool you have kept the exterior color and appear to be staying with the interior color (well mostly! )

I was going to do the same spoiler setup on the 86 coupe we were going to build for my eldest, but that project was abandoned for other reasons.

I had plans to make molds off the spoiler for resale after it was done, but came to the same conclusion that what I could actually sell the spoiler for wasn't worth my time and effort to make the molds and the individual parts.

Yeah I keep all interior mostly original except seat , not for look but the 80 seat doesnt incline enought to be confortable what material did you want to make the spoiler if you do that ? Fiberglass I guess?

    Wow I love your car.
Funny how so many people repainted these cars because the colors were out of style and now they are back in as a rareity in the fox world.

Welcome To FEP... Do love the color combo. Like they said, at the end of the day -- what ever makes you feel fuzzy inside is the way you should go... Good luck and keeps us up to date.
