Welcome to FEP. Looks like a good project. I like those seats. They're different.

I implore you...keep the colors as is, don't change the paint or interior. Both of those colors (interior and exterior) are very desirable among this crowd, and it would be a shame to see them gone. Especially if the plan is to change both to black, which is what so many people have done in the past. With this car just like this you will stand out at shows and gatherings, that won't happen if the car is all black.

I love this coupe and for $500 you got a smoking deal. Please dont ruin everything that makes this car special. Drive the car for a while before you make any big decisions, because I bet after you see how much attention these colors will give you, you won't want to change them.
    Cheers!

Dont worry i will keep all the original caramel interior part in storage, the probleme its the interior was not mint and need a good refresh, its not like a time capsule original 5.0 with sand beige and brown exterior IMO,

I can't blame you for changing either the interior or exterior color one. There is just too much there that is all one color and in the grand scheme of things, you have to be happy with it. Looks like a solid starting point.

It's your car and you have to be happy, but that is a special color combo regardless of whether it's a 5.0 or not. It will just be sad to see another cool car changed over to black.
    Cheers!

At the end of the day, you have to be happy with it. I faced the same decision. So I bought a black car and am selling my white/caramel car. But my car was not $500 in that condition.

FEP site sponsor NPD sells caramel interior paint made by SEM and they ship to Canada. SEM makes a great product that sprays evenly and matches well.

Nice car and quite a score for $500 Canadian! ...and welcome to the site from Canada too! I, like you, may be inclined to swap everything out if I had it to use. It truly isn't my favorite color inside, but I seem more stock favorable these days. I really like the cool stripe down the side and the color! Good luck with your choice!

I saw two 80 coupes like that recently. Both had brown exterior and your interior.

The one in the junkyard had cloth interior: http://vb.foureyedpride.com/showthre...=1#post1615540

The one on Kijiji had leather seats (I was soo tempted for some reason: $500 too). http://vb.foureyedpride.com/showthre...ome-and-get-it!

Then there was a yellow Cobra posted in the FYI section recently that had the same interior as well: http://vb.foureyedpride.com/showthre...t=Yellow+cobra

Just adding the '79-style Pace Car steering wheel would enhance the look of the interior.
It was available as an option in 1980, so it would keep the interior looking O.E.

Nice 89, good to see what looks like a stock aero GT and that has always been one of my favorite color combinations on those.
