Hi Everyone, Haven't posted for a while, had a broken wastegate flange off the header. I have recently installed the Pimp ECU also. So back on the road. Very happy to say its running fantastic, starts easily and pulls really strong . Just a few things left to polish, touch up, and some small parts to paint. This is a numbers matching car, still original engine ( with some add ons) and original exterior paint. I'm also the original owner of the car, its had a few scratches and dings ( just like me) but had it a car show last night it turned out to be a pretty big hit. Also it tore up the hills of western Pennsylvania really good on the way home. If your at a show somewhere in the Pittsburgh , Pa. area.....let me know.... Tim

It looks really clean, very well done. I wouldn't mind seeing more pics of this one.

That looks great. Was this originally a turbo motor? Or did you add it during the build?

The car show is every Friday night in Finleyville, Pa. ..... Yes it is an orginal turbo engine, it was a carb draw thru. Wanted something a little more horse power.

Precision Turbo SC-5457, Tial Wastegate and BOV, Bo-Port roller cam stage 1.9, Wiesco pistons 8:1, Crower rods , stainless steel valves ,ARP stuff everywhere, and finally got the PiMP ecu to tie it all together. And my favorite ....... a fresh coat of paint on the dipstick handle.......that added .005 HP

Nice looking Pace Car! It looks like you only have the Horses on the sides, right? If so your car looks exactly like mine! Mine is a 302 auto and is not a show piece but it is a decent looking survivor and I take it out every weekend in nice weather. Your engine looks great! You don't live too far away from me. I'm in Gibsonia which is in the North Hills area. Enjoy the rest of the summer cruising!

    Hi Everyone,
Just a few minor updates and paint changes in engine bay since last post. Plus a nice fall picture of the Pacecar. Still fine tuning the Pimp ECU. Have been working with Bob Schuler of Northwest Tuning Services (on Facebook under Turbo Ford) . He is an expert with Mega Squirt and PimP products plus one heck of a nice guy. Tuning is almost there. I think early in the spring I will replace all of the Pacecar decals. Some of the decals ,especially on the roof are pretty faded. Tim

How much did it ring you up for on parts and labor ? I'm still trying with my rebuilt engine but the guys screwed up and its at a new shop. Don't have the money to take the other guys to court so I'm just wondering for the fuel inj set up how much did it cost for parts or labor or both ?

    Hi Everyone,
Looking through some older photos, thought you would like to see pictures from begining to end. I was starting to forget how rusty and oily everything was. It was a work in progress. 135,0000 miles on the clock when I pulled the engine

Hi Everyone . Well I finally there with the restoration. It's pretty much where I want it to be with looks and function. The sun light made the "Pace" look faded in the picture but it is the correct color. The 2.3 turbo runs fantastic, controlled by the Pimp ECU. I'm the original owner of the car. 145,000 miles on the clock. I'm happy the way the engine rebuild came out. If any one live in the Pittsburgh ,Pa. area the Meadows Casino(south of Pittsburgh) is having a big car show and craft beer festival August 22 & 23. Car show is the 23 starting at 11:00 am I'll be there .

    Looks really good!

I like how you did the intercooler tube routing.

    Congrats!
