Well guys I'm outside installing a QA1 bump steer kit in my 83 GT and having some problems as usual with bump steer kits...
83 GT
QA1 K member
QA1 fox control arms
QA1 bump steer kit
Flaming River knock off manual rack
Prothane offset rack bushings
87+ 5.0 spindles
No sway bar
Do I need to cut the inner tie rods shorter? On a side note my old 87 GT did the same thing with 2 UPR bump steer kits worth of spacers and that had a reman 93 Cobra rack and stock style suspension w/ Eibach Sportlines, and D&D K member
It's at least 1/2" longer... with internal threads 1/2 as long..
Bump steer installed..threaded all the way in.. (I left about 7/16"-1/2" of threads open on the rod end that it could go in to the nut)
From front of car with rack centered
2nd post from Corral -
More pics - it's even worse with both sides installed.. threaded all the way in, rack verified centered (3.5 turns lock to lock = 1.75 turns centered)
these are also with the car on the ground..
