    Default 1985 mustang gt battery size?

    can someone tell me the correct size is for this year? are they all the same from 1979 to 1993? thanks alot.

    They are not all the same. '85 GT uses a group 56. Starting with '87, Ford switched to a group 58.
    Some of the stores have incorrect listings that say the 58 was used in the earlier cars, which is why
    so many have broken battery trays. Don't let anyone sell you a 58. It doesn't fit the tray.

    X2!! 1985 used a 'group 56'. My '93 uses a 'group 58'.
