$60,000 is crazy/stupid money for any FOX IMHO! Would I love to sell one for that . . . Heck Yeah! But the cars do not bring that kind of cash anywhere I am aware of.

The Grand Prix Capri's are cool cars and are unique due to the limited production number (30 IIRC), but the cars were standard Capris that were either pulled off the dealer lots or the production line and modified for the Detroit Grand Prix by ASC Mclaren. The modifications were minor interior changes, the ASC Mclaren body kit and the graphics package. Very cool cars and I would love to be the proud owner of one someday. In regards to price they are very similar to a Mclaren Capri, or well optioned standard Capri. Obviously condition, mileage, and equipment level all contribute to the overall value of the vehicle. I just wouldn't expect to pick one up and be able to turn around and sell it for a big profit such as $60,000.

Do you have any pics you can post? It's very hard to give a value estimate without seeing the car first. I know you said its in good condition, but is there any rust? Is it missing any parts (especially anything specific to the GP Model)? How many miles on it? What about options and color? Does it have any history that might effect value (one guy found the actual real Pace Car GP, which has race history and is worth more than a regular GP).

As much info as you can give will really help, and pictures are huge.

**BTW, I moved this thread to our "car buyer assistance and value" section**
    Cheers!

A one mile car would be worth $20k maybe. The only fox selling for that money would be an SA-10 Saleen at $90k plus.

Whoever told you 60K was joking with you, or they know very little about the fox market. As cool and rare as the GPIV cars are, they aren't very valuable. Hopefully in the future more people will see how special these cars are, but I have a feeling they will always take a back seat to the Mustang.
    Cheers!

First thing I thought, though he says it needs to be restored.
