Default No more 4-Eye picnics in the PacNW?

We weren't able to make the event last summer but had heard rumor that it might be taken over by someone else local. Any truth to that...? We've got a couple of good runners now that are raring to go.

I haven't heard anything so far. I am willing to help anyone who would like to plan a BBQ or other such event. When I was helping Neil with his, May-June is when he would start the prepping for the August event. He had the luxury of having a location that didn't need to be rented for the weekend.

Yes, having the space like that was nice. I suppose the 4-Eyes could meet at the Mustang Round Up in July at the Bellevue College event and participate... Not a lot of them seem to show up for that and we usually bring older cars. But that might be nice? The stand alone event was preferable.

That's not a bad idea. Maybe we need to bring the 'gospel' to the shows in the area as well. I haven't been to the Bellevue show for 3 years. It would be nice to go back again. We shouldn't forget the smaller shows in the area. A fewer amount of 4Es can make a larger impact when they are not lost in a sea of 1500 other Mustangs.

The nice thing about the BBQ was its non-show atmosphere. All 4Es (stock, modified, builder, daily driver, etc) were not classified and were accepted as equals. It would be nice find/create something like that again.

I fully agree with it all! It sucks I got mine a few months AFTER the last picnic, but if anyone is dead serious about trying to start it up again this year or even next, i'd love to be involved in helping plan or Co Host the event. I myself have a quite a few mustang buddys of mine that would probably also like to volunteer for it. So please let everyone know if any info pops up on the topic.

Why don't we try and start small...? Let's maybe do the Bellevue thing, even with the 1350 new Mustangs and the 150 vintage cars, lol. We come up from the mid-valley in Oregon and do the Pony Trails drive Friday and the people's choice Sunday--but not for any prize or to be judged. Mostly an excuse to stay at a hotel and have cable TV and a pool for a few days. Usually we bring older Mustangs, but if people want to have a 4-Eye presence, we can bring a couple of GT350s instead of the older stuff. Maybe I'll get the AC working in my junker T-Top GT350 in honor of the trip. I'd really like to have a few Foxes to drive with Friday as all of the new Mustangs blend in with regular traffic and it's easy to lose the group.

If you have places that have cruise nights on the weekends. I would recommend meeting up there. No pressure of a show and they usually have space marked off so you wouldn't have to rent any space. Good luck on your plans!

This summer is a mess. Gone most of June. My son is getting married on the weekend of the Roundup (we must talk). I'd like to participate in a get together, so I'll be watching. If it ends up being later in the summer, I'll give it my best shot to attend. Even something simple like meeting Saturday morning somewhere for coffee and heading out for a short cruise.

I loved how your events welcomed every flavor of four eye. There was nothing like it for the Capri crowd.

thanks for the kudos... I have talked to a person that attended the BBQ for several years, and he has the room for a gathering at his house, and he has the skills to get people together... something might happen again in the future ??

Not that I am aware of yet. I know the svo boys will be shooting for the international show in Montana, then Sturgis. Other shows are the belview round up, fox picnic, props and ponies (an absolute must), and then there is ponies in the park.
