They are the graphics from Performance Autosport in Richmond... I agree those stripes are part of what make these Saleens stand out

Looking good. It looks like your painter is going to clear over all of the decals?

Good eye - I know this is not the correct way to do this but wanted to do something to make them "pop" and since car has a salvage history I felt a few subtle tweeks would be ok

    here ya go

Looks great, and the clear should keep those decals looking fresh for a long time.

Me likey. Paint looks awesome. Did you install the stripes yourself or did the painter do it? I'll have to put them on mine pretty soon so I was wondering if there was a better way of doing them.

the painter is my dad = FREE LABOR!!! which is really the only way I could afford to have this car restored lol

My dad and Uncle put the stripes on, using a spray bottle of soapy water, a squeegee, exacto knife and a ton of patience.

They put a tape line on the door to represent the bottom of the molding, then they taped all the decals in place ( mocked up with backings still on them) then applied them to the car starting with the big molding on the door first. It took about 3 hours to do each side.

Mark at PAS in Richmond was/has been a valuable resource through this entire project also.

Default tons of progress= tons of pics

So tempting to take a day or two off from work to just finish this thing

Installed Saleen pedals from 05-09 car. Mocked up tailights and Flip screen and got all the trim painted this weekend. These cars have a ton of trim!!!

    mamba -

    3rd brake light install
Remove the rubber grommet on the drivers side hatch, there should be some wires tucked up in there. On my car the wires that ran to the 3rd brake light were a red w/green stripe (positive) and a black wire. The black wire grounds to the hatch. My hatch already had the hole drilled for the wires to pull through. The wires from the brake light were white ( positive) and blue (neg).

The light itself attaches using 3M two sided tape

Just two wires? That sounds easy. Thanks.
The front end looks fresh with the trim painted. I also like the "Cobra/svo" tail lights on these foxes.

Mamba - Two wires and you are all done.

More pics - wheel pic is after primer and paint but have not been cleared yet. Cleaned all the glass and started putting some of the trim back on the car - could be on the road by this time next week

HA! Sinnamon is the name we gave the car - we tell everybody that is her stripper name since this car has lived a rough life

Yea it has a big cam in there from the previous owner - not sure of any of the specs though

Great job with this build. Looking at the before pics, the car has come a long way.

How well do those floormats fit under the pedals?

The floormats fit pretty good - I am concerned about the drivers side bunching up under the pedals but I have not driven it yet with the mats in

Now the car is done - I just realized I took these pics before we put the motorsport decals in the quarter glass windows. Will have more pictures after the car show tomorrow!!

Car turned out awesome. Nothing screams '80's more than a 4-eye Saleen.

    Congrats - JT
