Default Finally got it home... 88 tbird

If you remember I posted back at the beginning of the year about this 88 tbird I found and purchased that was going to be scrapped. Well work/life got in the way for a couple months and I finally got it home yesterday.

Just to recap it was purchased by the mother of the woman I got it from. The mother drove it until 08 and let her daughter have it who drove until 2013 and it was parked outside. Was parked due to needing exhaust.... Anyway I stumbled on it by chance looking for parts for my 86 bird. Purchased the car for a whopping $425. Put gas in it and drove it home yesterday. Started the cleanup on the paint today.

Before I did anything to it.

    After 3M and before waxing

Thanks. Well after I got the exterior done(mostly) I pulled it in the shop and started pulling the interior out just to give it a good cleaning.

Yep there's the build sheet. Or what is left of it anyway..

How does a person get so much trash under a seat?? And yes the grinding disc was there as well..lol

Driver side was just as bad but I had already picked up the trash.

That car was headed for scrap?!?!? Damn. I had an '88 T-Bird many years ago, great car. Got ridiculously good fuel economy, almost 33 mpg on the highway. Traded it in on an '89 Mustang LX 5.0 coupe when the head gaskets started to go.
