Looking for confirmation that these truly are low friction joints? Thanks
If you're so inclined, I'd just call them and ask. Personally, I hate talking on the phone. The facts we know are:Yes they had the original design, but have since been bought out. Yes, they do look similar and cost enough that they could be, but many other aftermarket balljoints look similar too.

Found two TRW ball joints. JBJ869 for 1979-93 and JBJ875 for 1994-2004.
Both have low friction plastic bearing mentioned in description.

Check all new parts for grease before install.
    At least squeeze the boot.

Guess Ill get the fox one if they really are the same low friction design. Then wont worry about spindle nut thread engagement.

    Thank you!

No personal experience, but when I was searching for tie rod ends, ball joints, etc. for my Super Duty I found plenty of reviews of Mevotech that were less than good. Not necessarily specific to my Super Duty parts, but in general. As with everything there are plenty of good and bad reviews out there for every brand.

I ended up using Ford Motorcraft, DANA, and Moog parts for virtually everything. Overall no surprises or issues and didn't cost much more than Mevotech or other less known brands. Good Luck!

Thought I'd post my findings here. Decided to order these TRW balljoints not knowing what exactly I'd receive. Still don't know for sure other than from the exterior they look like other low-friction balljoints being a sealed, non-greaseable design. Similar to Brad's experienced at the beginning of this thread, I'm not able to move these by hand, though it might be easier if they were clamped in a vise or mounted in a control arm. No plans to install them in the near future, bought them for parts stash.

Interested in these. Can anyone confirm they’ll fit ‘87+ spindles?

Mustang ball joints from 79-04 use the same taper and diameter. The SN95 ball joints are shorter and do not use the Fox style castle nut and cotter pin. I personally have installed Ford OEM Sn95 ball joints in several sets of Fox control arms with 87-93 spindles with no issues. Good Luck!
