    Default hello from MA

hey guys, I join this site out of desperation. I'm currently building a 1982 futura for street/strip that will be backed by a 502" bbf and c6 trans. Disaster struck while taking my new car for a drive, and i ended up doing damage to the front drivers side fender and headlight assembly. This happened with the factory I6 lol. I knew the brakes were old and would be bad but... wow. I've sourced the headlight assembly but if anyone has a lead on fender I would really appreciate it! Thanks- John

    Hi John,

Welcome to FEP! Nice to see another local as well. Don't join ust out of desperation, we would love to see what you are building as well so do post up some pictures of you build in our Online car show section.

Also, for the fender, make a post "if you haven't already" in our "Wanted to Buy" section of the classifieds for the parts you need.

Hope to see you around this summer!

    Hey John,

Nice to see that you've signed up at the correct website. You should be able to find what you're looking for here. Good luck!

Welcome from another Futura owner, in Connecticut. I've been corresponding with another member near Poughkeepsie, NY who picked up a Futura from a salvage yard in Pennsylvania. Since the car was sold as scrap, he has to part it out by PA law. He might have a fender for you. Send me a PM.

There is a guy in Derry, NH who has two 1978 Mercury Zephyr 2 door coupes that have potential. One only has 16k and the body is excellent. The other has 50k and the body is decent. Both cars have the 200 six and auto trans. Check out dustyoldcars.com. Interesting stuff.

Welcome! You might want to look up upgrading to the 1987+ spindles and brakes before you do too much to the stock 82 brakes.
