1985 Capri GS - what are the options

I'm new to this and not sure if I can post here. If not, please direct me. We bought a 1985 Mercury Capri GS (or so we thought) - brand new. We were looking to purchase engine parts today and when we put this information in for the vehicle, we were not given the proper engine option. A GS comes with a 2.3 and a 3.8. This is not what we have in our car. Weird. Makes me wonder what we have. Is it a GS or a RS?

If you post the door, and buck tag (body colored metal tag attached to the radiator support) we can decode it for you and let you know which engine and options your car originally came with.

I assume you thought it is a GS because it has a "GS" badge on the hatchback?

GS actually came with all three available engines (2.3, 3.8, 5.0), so the whomever you are purchasing your parts from has the wrong info. The RS came only with the 5.0L engine.

If you are unable to take any good pictures can you instead post the codes from the door tag and buck tag?

How many miles on the odometer and does it have any of the following options?

air conditioner
cruise control
premium sound system ("Premium Sound" on factory radio faceplate, amplifier under center of dash pad)
