RK Motors Charlotte Tour

Had the chance to check out RK Motors in Charlotte, NC yesterday. Wow, what a place! I'm pretty sure heaven might look a lot like this!

In the 90's I looked at this car (King Cobra) when the car was sitting on a fence row as junk in South Carolina.

Guy asked me $10K for the car said if I did not want it that was OK as his buddy has a guy for the Northeast interested at $13K. It was a $100 crusher hull then but did have modified shock towers, rear concave glass, "Prototype" on the glass/speedometer and more! I asked the seller what it was and he did not know but knew if was valuable!

Never could figure out what the car was after repeated calls to others in the hobby. At the time I WAS aware that there were 2 King Cobra's known. The white one Bud Moore owned and the yellow one Steve Honnell owned in Tennessee. I always remembered Steve saying there were only 2. I decided it was not worth the gamble to $10K on a $100 crusher. I guess that's why I don't gamble in Vegas. I am a HORRIBLE gambler.

Boy did I miss the boat on that car!

I love that King Cobra. If I won the lotto, that would be one of my first phone calls.

I worked for one of their competitors for several months, RK makes them look like a joke. What an awesome showroom and very prefessional.
