      Default Powered by ford valve cover question

      What year of valve cover " Powered by ford " fit the 85 mustang gt ?

      Those were produced from 1982 through 1985. The later units have a thicker bolt hole flange and are less prone to break from over tightening. BTW it is "Powered by Ford"...
      HAD
      '82 GT monochromatic (red)...black cloth

      HAVE
      '85 GT vert two tone (white on charcoal)...white leather
      '00 F350 two tone (white on silver)...gray cloth
      '00 Excursion Limited two tone (white on tan)...tan leather...wifes ride
      '08 Taurus Limited ice blue...tan leather...daughter ride
      '08 Edge Limited white sand tri-coat metallic...tan leather...other daughters ride

      thanks for clear that up, is 86+ having same logo " Powered by Ford " ? and will it fit the 85 ?

      '86-up EFI engines use a completely different cover, with the oil filler on the passenger side, and
      no PCV provision on the driver side cover. So, while they will bolt on, they don't really 'fit' an '85.

      Do you need a set of powered by Ford valve covers? I've got a set that would need to be cleaned up, but I'd sell them for $50 shipped.
