Default 460 with Top Loader best Manual trans?

Ok, so what's the best transmission choice for a Ford 460 swap? (no 2 pedal responses please, I have the use of both my legs) I am planning on using the Ford Toploader 4 speed I have, but I have also thought about the TKO600 in order to get an overdrive? Anyone have a 460 in their fox with the 4 speed Top Loader?

Rear gears are 3.73 with the 8.8, could possibly go to 3.27 for better economy...

I have heard storys from the old timers that some made or still makes an OD box that can be added to the Toploader. Also remember there are small and big input shafts, along with close or wide ratios.
If you blink at the end of the straight away you'll miss the twisties and what fun would that be!

The top loader I have to use is a wide ratio small input/output version from a 69 351W Mustang. I can upgrade the input shaft to the large input 1-3/8" 10 spline for about $200 to increase the input strength. Increasing the output shaft and consequently the tail shaft is cost prohibitive as these parts are harder to come by so I would probably stick with the 28 spline output shaft. Wondering if anyone has experience driving a fox chassis with a big block and top loader and how they work together. I am planning of a Hurst competition plus shifter to improve "rowing" the gears of the top loader. I assume shifting it will be not even close to that of an internally shifted T5 or TKO500/600.
