    Darren,
I can't remember the name of the stuff I used for the gravel guard. I will go by the paint shop and see if there was any left over and pm you the brand.
It did come in a rattle can.
I did have to redo all of it. The original gravel guard would have had no texture left if I'd left it with already 1 coat of paint, then the epoxy, and then base clear.
This stuff matched up perfectly. My biggest concern about the whole paint job was whether we could replicate the factory texture. I really stressed over it.
The result was perfect. I couldn't have been happier with it. I imagine you could do spot repair and blend it into the original.

As for as much as I got done in 2 years...it was only one car. Seems to me someone else tackled an 82 GT, SVO, and a 79 "refreshening" in progress over the same period of time. So don't sell yourself short!

Oh yes, the louvres are on.

Beautiful car, and appreciate the interior work. Going thru that myself now, wondering what to do for sound deadening. How is that hushmat? I have looked at dynomat and the lizard skin stuff. I want to really make the car quiet inside for long cruising and then if I need sound I can roll the windows down.

    Thanks!
Hushmat is no different than dynomat. I just got it a little cheaper. Still pricey though. Approx $450 CDN to the floors, doors & underside of the hood.
Worlds of difference in blocking squeaks, rattles and resonance that are common on those cars.
I have pretty loud exhaust on mine, so the drone is still there at certain rpm's.

    Thanks guys!
Put it into an all Ford car show a couple of weeks ago.
Got beat by an '87 in the fox class. I'll post some pics later this week.
I'm also entered into another big show in my city this weekend. Huge turnouts at this one with everything from motorcycles to semi units lining the streets of downtown. I'll be sure to post some pics of that show too.

just came here to say car looks great. and congrats on an awesome build. I cant imagine how hard it was to get the alignment on your hood decal straight. its one thing I'm dreading down the road when my car is painted.

And whatever that 87 had, it must have been a crazy build to beat yours

So, yesterday was our 20th annual "Hot Nite in the City" Show and shine. It is a pretty awseome event that spans 7 blocks long, and 2 blocks wide, in our city center. It coincides with "Ribfest", a rib competition that brings BBQ pros from the states, Canada and Mexico. The temperature was 100F again yesterday, but the near 400 entries made the 10 hour show go by enjoyably.

The last show I went into a couple weeks ago was an all Ford show that drew 115 entries. Of those, there were 10 Foxes: 9 aero's and my four eye.

This show had 400 entries, of which there was only 1 Fox Mustang. Mine. There were multiples of ALL other generations of Mustang, even Mustang II's.
The classes were divided into mostly decades (50's, 60's, 70's, etc.), then best import, and so on.
I was in the 1980-2000 domestic class competing against IROCs, Corvetts, El Caminos, GTA, sn95 mustangs, Cutlass' etc.
Anyways, in the end, I won the class. Totally unexpected. Made my day.
I'm going to post a thresd of my 5 favourite Fords from the show in the General BS section.
    Check em out!
