    Default Hotrod Power Tour '14

Anyone plan on doing this? I've run it the last 3 years and have had more fun on it than any other car event I've attended. Gives you a chance to get out, see the country and some really cool cars and equally as cool people. It kicks off in Charlotte, NC

The 2014 Power Tour will be FAR MORE FUN than the Mustang 50th in Charlotte and a LOT less hassle and BS!

and a couple of others from the early years of the tour!

Long Haul is the only way to go! I have long hauled quite a few times.

Just a great time with a bunch of great people. Beat the hell out of sitting all day at some stupid car show!

On the Power Tour you ARE the car show!

It really is hard to beat power tour. I'm not for paying $25 to get into a show and sit in a hot parking lot for 4 hours watching grown men jockey for a $5 trophy anymore. I like the bigger active events, Daytona rod run, Cruising the coast and power tour. I'm going to go to the 50th celebration to check it out though.

I really want to do this sometime. Not this year for sure though. The guy I bought my 85 GT from did the 06 power tour in it. Sold it right when he got back. He said it was one of the coolest car experiences he had ever had. Of course he was only like 20 at the time.

I am planning on running the Power Tour 14' from Knoxville to Norwalk, OH at least, maybe as far as Crown Point, IN. Just the 3 or 4 stops for me, not going to try to do the long hauler. I saw it pass thru 2 years ago in Kokomo, IN and decided that I would like to try it out this year. Hope to have my Capri in drivable enough condition by then to participate although it won't have the 460 in it by then. Running the 302 should at least save me some $$$ on gas.
