Cool 20th Annual Ford & Mustang Roundup @ Silver Springs Park in Ocala, FL Jan 11-12 2014

The 20th Annual Ford & Mustang Roundup at the beautiful Silver Springs State Park in Ocala, Florida will be on January 11th and 12th 2014. For those wanting to add cruising into the mix, we have a Pony Trails cruise from Ocala to Cedar Key Friday morning, plus our 200-plus car collection and a chassis dyno competition (see Friday activities below for more information).

This show has been considered the season "kick-off" event for Ford enthusiasts, as we normally see close to 1,000 vehicles for the show, and close to 150 cars and trucks joined us for the Friday morning Pony Trails cruise from Ocala to Cedar Key.

A little background on Silver Springs and the show to give you an idea of what it entails:
We’ve held the Mustang and Fords show in January at Silver Springs in Ocala, Florida for the past 19 years. Always heralded as a great alternative to a parking lot show, the lush grounds and glass bottom boats at Silver Springs State Park provide a family-fun setting that’s hard to beat. PLEASE NOTE: As of October 1st 2013, the State of Florida regained operational-control of Silver Springs Park, and changed the park’s fee structure and attractions considerably. Please check out http://www.floridastateparks.org/sil...gs/default.cfm for more on the park, including recent changes.

Registration is available for all Ford models early or late, from bone stock to highly modified!

Registration is totally free to all 1993-earlier vehicles that preregister by mail / online before January 1st, 2014. Any 1994-later vehicles pay a modest park fee of $10 for the weekend, with no fee for additional passes. Any entry postmarked after 01/02/14 or a day of show entry will be subject to the park fee of $10 for the weekend (again, with no fee for additional passes). Please make no mistake, NPD loves and appreciates all of the beautiful cars and trucks that attend our Silver Springs event. But in the spirit of encouraging more of our customers to pull their “oldies” out of hibernation, we devised a new rate structure for 2014. We feel that the $10 fee for 1994-newer cars is extremely modest, especially given the venue and the 2-days of access. And for cars containing more than two people, it actually winds up being far cheaper than previous years. 100% of the fees go directly to Silver Springs State Park, a National Treasure. We sincerely hope that our loyal late-model participants will view this change in the positive spirit in which it is intended, and continue to join us for a relaxing and top-notch event.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are planning to attend but not show a car, you'll be subject to the standard park entrance fee (per car): $5 for a single person or $8 for up to 8 people. These prices are per day, are current as of October 2013, and are subject to change.

Also, be aware that this show is held inside the Silver Springs park. "Coming and going" with your car during show hours is neither practical nor allowed. Registration closes at 10 AM sharp each day, and awards will be presented Sunday afternoon.

Mustang Monthly, Modified Mustangs and Fords, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords magazines plan to be in attendance as well (feature cars have been "discovered" from this show in the past).

    Friday activities:
We will host a cruise from the NPD headquarters in Ocala, Florida to Cedar Key Friday morning. The cruise will leave NPD between 9:30-9:45 AM. Cars begin assembling at 8 AM. Please arrive at NPD’s parking-lot fueled-up, and ready to go.
We will swing open the doors to view our extensive private car and truck collection (200 cars and trucks). Upon our return to NPD from Cedar Key (we typically have lunch on the water at Cedar Key), VMP Tuning will be at NPD with their mobile Dynojet chassis dyno, and you can make 2 pulls with A/F ratio for $65 (the highest pull gets a goodie bag for NPD). The opportunity to tour/browse NPD’s private car and truck collection will be available once again, but it will be in conjunction with an Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) fundraiser. Dennis Gage of the popular My Classic Car TV show will be in attendance to sign autographs.

More information, including links to both printed and online registration forms, is on our website here: http://www.ittybittyurl.com/1M9D

Shoot me an e-mail at dputnam@npdlink.com if you have any questions.

Hope you join us in January!
