    Default 1984 mustang 5.0 hood question

    Hey guys new to the site!!! i have been saving money to restore my 1984 5.0 convertible!!! so excited!!! only problem is I can't find a lot of parts? i was wondering if anyone knew of a good site where i can find fiberglass hoods? I was also wondering if i could fit a hood from a 1987 5.0? Look forward to hearing from you guys! thanx

    Any 1983-86 non-SVO Mustang hood will fit but 1987-93 hood will not.

    Why do you want the 87 hood. Are you just looking for a cowl hood, they make them in your year.

    yes i want a cowl but i wanted to see if anyone ever used this hood just to see if it looked good! chances are no but i was just wonderingName:  cer-136_8613.jpg

    and where can i find a cowl hood for my 84? I've looked at them before but can't seem to find where i saw them

    these guys show a cervini in the 83 thru 86 style hood..just a little pricey on this side of the fence.. do your homework and you might find something that will fit your budget ..

    Depends on how big of a cowl you want. The cheapest I see is actually the hardwoods on ebay, they run about $300 on ebay.

    This is the hood I have on my '84 GT.

    It is part # 106. Please note that not all of the underside is finished. For the unfinished part, my is painted a satin black.

    You will find pictures of the hood with the center section painted satin black ('84 nose) and other pictures with the hood painted all body color ('86 nose). The underside was always satin black in the middle.
