I changed the fluid in my 5.0 92 2 months ago, been aprox 600 miles since, I used the semi synthetic from walmart, I believe it was 75/90, I didn't add any friction modifier either, on the bottle it said use for topping off limited slip axles, I figured it would work, judging by the dual black marks and no noise, I'd say its all good.

I would use the regular oil. You have gotten 135K out of the rear with it- it must work. Plus, you will probably be into some sort of repair soon on a 7.5 with 135K, so why drain out expensive synthetic and toss it in a couple of years?
