What's the story on the interior? Color? Condition?

This car is a perfect example of one of those cars that probably doesn't get listed anywhere ---- not on eBay, CL, autotempest, etc. etc. etc. They're out there ---- and I don't know about them!!!

I saw a nice blue with blue Recaro interior earlier this year on kijiji. It was around the same price, maybe a little 'more original'.

What would have came with that brown exterior? Tan? Vaquero? Hmmm...

I was thinking either tan or ... could it be ... CARAMEL!!!

I suppose that it could also be black ---- which would suit that brown over black two-tone.

Something equally disgusting to match the brown paint to be sure. No way it's black.

It does appear to be in super nice shape, and to be fair, you really don't see that brown. EVER.
I push my fingers into my eyes......

Update - 2023 - Looking to buy 81 Mustang, 82/85/86 Mustang GT, and 79 - 86 Capri (No Sunroof). Not looking for all original/show cars or convertibles - I will be modifying. Would be nice if both were - Black Interior, PW, PL, AC, No - or very little rust. Motor/Trans/Axle not important. Options negotiable with price.

That root beer metallic was a trendy color back in the late 70s (on a lot of different models)

It looks best in person on a sunny day, it's not a photogenic color though.

ok fellas! Here's the rest; vinyl highback seats (interior looked flawless), fogs(with covers!), no air, r.def, pw/pdl, tilt whl or cruise. Turbo, 4 speed, orig style exhaust.

I looked the car over for around 7-8 mins, and what struck me was the clean interior, razor straight no-hit body, and very clean undercarriage. It was easy to see it had been in heated storage all those years.

I believe this is the same car it was at a local car show back in Sept.

The black Capri was also very nice.

I see it has the for sale sign on it there too.

Does ANYBODY still have their insulation pad in their scooped hood?? I wish they would re-do them!

Being plastic, they added that license plate bracket, but it looks good.

I do :-) I pulled it off the car and stored in the attic as it was not in the best shape. It was really a cheap piece of crap compared to the newer hood insulators used in '85 (or whenever they switched to it.
