Default Jack Roush Collection Race Prepped 2.3 T

Since we have our own forum now I thought I would post this up for those that haven't seen it. It is in the Jack Roush collection in Michigan. I am going back in January. This is an old Merkur race car from back in the day. I remember watching these race. Just a neat piece of history I thought I would share. No particular reason. I just thought anyone who is a fan of the 2.3 T would enjoy a blast from the past.
The original thread is in the online car show forum. Just search Jack Roush Collection and it's the one I started obviously. Probably 250+ pictures.

Was there 9/13/12, a memorable day for me in more ways than one.

The first pic in your thread 2/6/12 shows that custom black traffic signal light that looks like a crane.
It is above the 999 car and Model T. It is a prototype or something.
My camera battery quit trying to take a shot of it.

"Steam ports" which helped complete fill of the system and to vent any potential steam from around the exhaust port. According to Rick Byrnes: "The Roush engines also used cross flow cooling with separate entry and exit for the block and head. It was essentially a dry deck with metallic "O" rings for combustion seal."

Rick used the same system on his Bonneville Merkur.
