New 4 eye guy stuck in Alaska

Hey y'all. I'm new to the four eye and even mustang society. Well I got a 83 glx vert.
5.0 H.O. With four speed manual gear box. I'm in Alaska for the time being, thanks to the army but am originally from Virginia. I will be taking the 5.0 and tranny out over the cold long winter months.
I would love to build a 460 over the winter. I'll have so many questions and hope this site* will be helpful.
I actually thought about making a torqued up pro-touring mustang. But not sure quite yet.
