    Default Carpet dash pad cover

    Does anybody know where to get a cover for your dash ,My dash is in realy good shape,And when i have the car out, the sun bakes my dash it gets real hot.I would like to get one off those pads that lay over the dash.Just to keep the sun off of it.

    Jc Whitney listed them for my zephyr. Can't remember the price. They're the same as a mustang dash, i believe.

    Here in CO you can just get them from Auto Zone or O'reilly Auto. Pretty inexpensive too, under 40. I have the Velour one, nicer than the carpet I think.

    I think it looks like a toupee.. why put a rug on it? I just sayin, plastic cap looks a ton better

    Its just for the shows in the sun. My dash is original no cracks at all, And when its sitting in the sun im just waiting to see it crack, That would kill me. Ha Ha,

    oh well then get a carpet, my bad. I just hate those things as a cover up..shows, that rocks

    It looks like the supplier to Autozone AND JC Whitney is "Coverking" and they offer a few different variations of the dash covers. The lesser expensive ones come in "poly carpet" or "velour." The molded ones come in a poly carpet. Does anyone have experience with these- especially the molded type? I've read a few reviews online about possible fitment issues for some cars- just curious if it would fit ours well....

    Just dug this photo up for another thread. Instead of carpet I used a faux suede cover in my old car. From dashes direct I believe. Fit fine but no speaker holes. Which wasn't an issue in that car.
