Default 79 2.3t Original decals and markings

Finally got my original 60k mile 2.3t on an engine stand for inspection. My goal is to document everything, then degrease it and rebuild it using as much original stuff as possible. I might not even repaint anything depending on how well it cleans up. As far as I can tell so far the alternator is the only part that is not original (though it is a reman Ford piece).

Anyway here are a few cell pics. My first question is what the orange sticker on the timing cover indicates? The letter D and the number 2 and 0 are punched out.

Also note the OK mark on the back of the head. I'm guessing that is a production marking? I was always a hot rod builder, this is my first go at a light handed restoration. I find this little stuff amusing.

Three more OK marks on the valve cover

    Drivers side

    Passenger side

    And rear side

That's a lot of inspections! It seems like at least the intention was for genuine quality control for these new Ford turbo engines.

Sadly a previous mechanic took a scraper to the ID plate on the AC compressor during his AC service... but it is still legible.

This AC mark is in an odd place at the bottom of the timing cover, but the mark appears to be factory.

I got the info I needed but it's cumbersome for casual viewers to look it up. Feel free to post the rundown for the browsing viewers if you like, everyone at FEP enjoys when you do your thing!
