Sorry to hear the BBQ might be cancelled. My finances won't allow me to make it to this event.

Well....let's pull this back on track. I was talking to Liz last night, and the flyers have been out for over a month and a half, and the return rate has been slower than normal at this point. There are some past attendees that have committed to attending this year that are driving over 1300 miles to be with us, and they should drive into the field to see a great party starting. Every year I get a steady return of registrations from the mid July to August 10th, or so, then they slow down, and finally the rest just show up with registration in hand at the field. How am I supposed to plan to properly host everybody with food, ect. if I don't know a semi-realistic number of attendance ?? In the past, I have sent emails as a reminder to return the registrations, but this year I will not do that. If I don't have a decent return of registrations by the 15th, I will cancel THE LONG DISTANCE PEOPLE....like from Portland south, but the party will continue, even if I take a good hit in the pocket book. This event is about 4-eye owners having fun and meeting new friends, and 10 years is a good run, but my wife and I want to do some other things together as we have entered the "3rd tri-mester" of our lives. This event could not have run this long without the help of some very special frieinds, like Lee, Liz, Mike and Linda, Maria, Duran, Marty, Dave C, Bill ( the cougar nut), my 2 sons and wife that all loose a day's paycheck to help, and several others over the years. I just hope that past attendees are not too mad at me to not return for the last time, we will see. Mooseman, sorry to hear you can not make it, at least you let me know. I don't even get a response from members on here that say they want to attend, and won't reply to a PM....oh well. Bottom line is the BBQ will happen no matter what the size is, and those that do make it to the field will have a good time.

Yes come on you guys. I am sacrificing bringing my 85 down but bringing SNAKES 88 down to have a photo of all who knew him taken for his wife as a remembrance to Dave (SNAKE). He attended quite a few of the BBQs along with his wife DeDe. The last one should be the best one for all who have made it such a success over the last 10 years.RANT OVER LOLName: Dave DeeDee W.jpg

No we shouldn't. If that happens, my car definitely won't make it. I'll be there one way or another. I do have to get my registration in though.

Oldsrocket442, no..you don't get the "better late than never" award because our friends north of the border will be bringing their registrations with them. This is a hint that I got your $$$ in the mail today.

I'm hoping the border line ups aren't too crazy this year. I'm budgeting an hour to cross in my travel time.
