Default Ford Racing M-5300-G lowering springs

Is anyone running these G springs? I'm looking at buying some lowering springs and wanted hear and see the results.

    Thanks
    Dave

If common sense was common wouldn't it just be sense?

The G spring is specifically designed for the convertible, not sure you are aware. I see your sig says an 83 Capri.

So... does anyone know the difference between the springs for a convertible, coupe and the hatchbacks? I see springs listed specifically for the verts and coupes. Just wondering.

Springs are designed around the vehicle chassis along with the type of ride one wants.

You'll notice on B and C springs, they share the same rear springs, but different front springs. You Also notice G springs share the same front springs as the F kit, however both have different rear springs that B and C. I don't know the intended application for the F's.

Here are the specs for Motorsport/Ford Racing springs. You can check out a comprehensive listing of spring rates at the following link.

    Ford Motorsports B Springs

    Rate(lb/in) Front: 425-530
    Rate(lb/in) Rear: 200-300
Expected drop on proper chassis F/R: 1.50 0.75

    Ford Motorsports C
    Part Number: M-5300-C
    Rate(lb/in) Front: 650
    Rate(lb/in) Rear: 200-300

    Ford Motorsports G (Convertible)
    Part Number: M-5300-G
    Rate(lb/in) Front: 460-570
    Rate(lb/in) Rear: 170-310

Bringing this back up as I'm curious what the stock spring rates are on my 2002 Stang Convertible? I want to lower it but am curious about how the ride is going to be.

I know this car is not a 4 eye.
