I bought a bxt-63 or a bxt-56 for my mustang last year and paid like 190 bucks for it without core, i gave the core to my buddy for his mustang. Ill have to double check.
I wanted a motorcraft battery for it and they told me they were discontinuing this battery size.

    Edit: battery was bxt-56-a

yep, my motorcraft battery doesn't keep its charge unless it's on a maintainer. pretty disappointing. It doesn't fill the tray either. WTF.

I bought 2 Motorcraft batteries last year for $130 each. Just called the dealer in advance to get it ordered. Came in the next day. Not sure which cars they were for. I have heard the story many times about not making them but it usually turns out to be just not stocked.

Next stop is Interstate battery store if no Motorcraft. It's just a matter of time before the next one is needed.

I just bought a new battery for my 83 at Rural King for $89... Says its an Exide, which I consider the worst of the worst, but I could not turn down the price... Not sure who owns who or who builds what in batteries anymore....

Exide battery here in the Mustang is over 5 years old. Time to retire it.
Paid about the same price at Menards. They do not sell Exide anymore.
Was 12.6v when new but now usually checks in the low 12's.
May need a short boost recharge to start the car after it sits for a few days.
Starter clicking, haul out the charger, reset of clock and date, maybe radio stations.
All that good stuff. Or drive the truck instead.

Many companies that operate electric machines, like forklifts, use Exide brand.
The brand and price are why an Exide battery went into the car.
Battery has its moments. Has been much tougher than WM brand it replaced.

100% sure will replace the Exide with a Motorcraft from a local Ford dealer.
Motorcraft batteries have lasted the longest for me in every vehicle owned.
They also look the best in a Ford.

Motorcraft batteries in recent years were made by Johnson Controls. Recently they changed names to Clarios. They also make batteries for Walmart, Everstart.

I work right across the street from the plant in Canby Oregon. I wish I could just walk across the street and buy what ever battery I wanted...
