trying to figure out the best way to wire up the motor. whether it be swapping the dash harness from the SVO into the capri, or just powering up the EEC harness with the current capri wiring.....

I will be doing a similar swap soon for my daughter's 86 coupe from 2.3 N/A to 2.3 Turbo from an 86 SVO. I plan on swapping the dash harness and everything. I understand it's more work, but I believe in the long run it will make the whole conversion easier on me. If you have the complete dash harness, etc. that is what I would recommend.

    Good Luck!

yea, im probably going to use the dash harness but keep it in the 79 dash shell so there are no issues with color or ductwork. i dont have the harnes from the dash to the rear of the car..hmmm..what to do. junkyard hunting i guess

    Looks like a fun project.

Looks like you will need to replace a floorboard. Here is a source.

Being that you live in RI, you could just drive to Mustangs Unlimited in Manchester and pick them up. That's what I plan to do when I actually get started on my cars......Life is too hectic right now with my son leaving in a couple weeks for the Marines.

Im at a bit of a dilemma...i want to leave the SVO powertrain on the k member and use SVO suspension in the Capri...but..i would like to keep the TRX wheel....so i would be swapping back to 4 lug..87-93 front rotor? will the caliper clear the TRX wheel? thanks!

Just a question. Why go with the TRX? The tires are very expensive and hard to get. If I were you i'd stick with 5 lug, as the Rim choices are so much better. Go basketweave!!! They look AWESOME on fox mustangs. Just my 2 cents.

Well. Its been awhile haha. Car runs and drives. New brakes. Ball joints. Many suspension parts. Did a 3" stinger downpipe. quick fuel system and a clutch. Looking to sell this, as i need to clear out the garage

What is something like this worth?? I know. Its a random and less detailed question. Like i said, runs and drives. Trx leak slow. Has some slack in the clutch cable, and needs a proper fuel filter installed. Motor runs great and turbo spools. Great car to put finishing touches on. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated

Love the color combo and the fact you’ve kept it Turbo. I thought it was cool that the old build thread was getting revived but kinda disappointed that you need to sell. I’d like to see some current pictures but I think you need to maybe start a new thread over in the cars for sale with a link to this thread. I may be interested.
