Default 1985 Mustang Steering Column Cover

Hi guys can you post pics of your steering column covers and wondering if you guys know what covers are compatible with the 85? Also is there a collar involved in the 85? I believe I have tilt too.
    many thanks!

in this thread there are a bunch of pictures of my 86GT's column cover. It is a tilt column. I would imagine its the same as 85, but I don't know for sure. Hope this helps..

Looks like the one I have isnt going to work, it says stationary no speed control on the inside of it. I have tilt and cruise control so I'm guessing this is not the right one? Does anyone know what years will work in my car?

I would imagine any tilt trim from 79 - 86.

A non tilt cover has two pieces, top and bottom for lack of better terms. The tilt is three pieces, a shorter top and bottom with a collar that goes around the actual tilt joint of the column.

thanks wman, I acutally still have the correct collar I just dont have the other 2 pieces. The one I received did seem a bit long.

I wonder if the non tilt covers could be cut for a tilt column. Can't think of a reason it won't work, all the othe switches etc are in the same location.
