Also, I'd keep it 5 lug and go with a set of saleen SC wheels.

Man I was thinking the same thing! The really strange thing about Saleen's are things like the shift knob. Saleen seemed to change them all the time mid year or year to year. My dad's Saleen 90-033 had a different knob from 90-039. No reason they were both brand new from Saleen with different knob. There were also other things that were different, small things but just different. I am loving the resto BTW!
Update:
I bought a few parts for the Saleen that the car was missing. Hope I get to install them soon.
Momo Veloce steering wheel.
85 Saleen shift knob. Correct for early 86 Saleens.
I'm also in the negotiation process to buy some 16" 5 lug ARE mesh wheels. too bad they dont come with the center caps

Quick update on 86 #009,
Picked up a set of staggered ARE Mesh wheels. They are 16 x 7 and 16 x 8 no center caps but the wheels are new! I will be keeping it 5 lug for now as I want to enjoy it a bit before I park it and start restoring it back to original specs.
I'm looking to run 245/50 on all four corners.
I should get the tires sometime next week and i'll post up pics then.
Here are some pictures of the wheels:

Very nice! wish I had something to post about mine
Wow! Those wheels will really set it off nicely!
'89 5.0 5-speed 'vert, seeing rust for the 1st time in it's life as well as 4,500+ elevation....
The wheels look great!
Can't believe you don't have foam on the jack handle though! My luck would be a scratch or dent with the handle that close to good paint.

Thanks guys, I've been dreaming day and night about putting these wheels on already.
This old jack didn't come with one and for some reason I never thought about putting some kind of foam around it. I'm ALWAYS careful when i jack up the car, I gently put the handle up against the molding if for whatever reason I don't take the handle off completely.
I've been thinking about buying a new aluminum low profile Jack just haven't got around to it. Been too busy buying parts I don't really need( like Ford Motorsport items) but that i truly enjoy them.

Measure you jack handle diameter and then go to your local Home Depot/Lowe's/ACE, etc. and find the pipe insulation in the plumbing section and buy the size that matches up best. I recommend buying the closed cell insulation as it's better quality and will last longer than the cheaper open cell stuff. Besides usually it's less than $10 for a stick of insulation and that's cheap insurance against dents and dings on your sweet Saleen!

Quick update on #009:
It was time to pull the engine out since white smoke was coming out of the exhaust and it was burning oil rather quickly.
I pulled the engine out and took it to the machine shop to get it rebuilt.
Pulled the heads off to check the pistons, lots of carbon built up to say the least.
The machine shop took the engine apart, measured everything and not much wear on it. Staying to factory specs. I should get it back next week then its back into the car.
I still have the original date coded spark plug wires but when i first bought the car it was running very rough so I put a new set of Ford Racing wires and Motorcraft plugs to see if the problem would go away.
I thought about running a set of GT40X heads, GT40 tubular intake some Motorsport headers but I'm staying stock for now.
That is going to be the most difficult task for me as I always like upgrading my vehicles with tasteful mods.
Here are a few pics:
