    PaceFever79,

I wasn't able to check the engine numbers yet. I'll report back when I have them.

Okay, I finally got a chance to check the engine numbers. But the outcome is inconclusive. I found numbers on the flat pad at the back of the block, but most of them are too weak to understand. The depressions are shallow and only partial characters, and it looks like a couple of them overlap. So I looked very closely at them, but there just doesn't seem to be enough there to compare to the VIN.

So I'm guessing that the heads and block are original, but I can't say for sure. If other numbers on the block or any of the numbers on the heads would be helpful, let me know.

Kinda forgot about this car. Transport guy my dad had sold his truck and got out of the transport business. If my dad gets something figured out and you still have the car, I'll let you know

At this point it seems likely that you all have looked over this ad and had time to think about it. So I'll go ahead and get the car squared away for winter then, and who knows what will come next. Maybe at some point I'll be able to put some work into it.

For those interested in shipping this car. It's cheaper to ship than go and get in most cases.

Call 800 207 3012 ask for Joan. I have used her for years. Good service and prices that will get the car moved quickly and reasonably.

She has moved a lot of non-runners for me. the latest being the Detroit Grand Prix Capri which was a non=runner. $400 from Titusville Fla to Nashville Tn. It's the right time of year to move cars NORTH out of Florida!

A lot of us need to finish projects before we can take on another. Having limited space sucks!

Update - 2023 - Looking to buy 81 Mustang, 82/85/86 Mustang GT, and 79 - 86 Capri (No Sunroof). Not looking for all original/show cars or convertibles - I will be modifying. Would be nice if both were - Black Interior, PW, PL, AC, No - or very little rust. Motor/Trans/Axle not important. Options negotiable with price.

I would love this car. However, I just cannot afford to ship it. The metalwork is easy and cheap.

A windshield installer noticed the car the other day and wanted to buy it. But since he wanted to use it as parts for his Mustang, his parts search will continue. A dedicated Black Magic fan is needed for this project.

And there it goes! Headed to Texas. A round of applause is due for Sean "TurboPaceCar" who threw down the cash to ship a Black Magic from northern California to Texas. Way to go!

Glad to see this is going to an FEP member!

I was really hoping it was going to be me that ended up with this one, but the timing just wasn't right.
