Once I get all the body work done I will have to decide what colour to paint it. I am leaning towards black, or just do it red again.

895.0 when I removed the good panel I opened the gap a bit between the quarter and the rocker then I uesd a cut off wheel on a die grinder to cut the spot welds. it wasn't the prettiest job LOL but its off. You could also try from the inside with an angle drill. I am learning as I go, that is why I started on the passenger side, if I mess it up I dont have to look at it everytime I get in the car .

Good job!! Out of curiosity, where did you get the doner, a scrapyard?? I'm looking for solid doors, and I'm not too far from you.

I bought a shell off a guy on Kijiji for the quarters, they were in excellent shape, you can see it upside down with the 3M box on it, the 82 GT beside my lawn tractor is a buddies car, it is for sale.

LOL, I was going to build a car out of that shell, but I came to the conclusion that i really dont have the time to do all that, I started body work on the Mustang over a year ago and my Harley is in peices in the corner waiting for paint as well. As it is I wont be able to get back onto the Mustang for about another 2-3 weeks.

I managed to finish the install of the paasenger quarter, looks good! it's nice to have a solid panel that you can grab the wheel well lip and find no bondo. I will post some pics tonight if I get a chance.

WOW I started this thread in 5/9/2011 and the car looks exactly the same as in the last 2 pictures. That was the last time I did any work on it. Way too busy/Lazy. I need to get back at it.

Good progress. Nothing wrong with taking your time on it. At least you're still at it!
