Here is a good article I came across this morning:
    http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...1c_oiling_fix/

My conclusion, since I am running hydraulic lifters and not doing competition driving, is to leave it stock and run a high volume oil pump. The port plates still intrigue me though.

Im not to sure that the plates would help in my Cleveland.

Just found some new information on my 351c. The bottom half is a 351c and the top half is from a Boss351. Will this affect the hp the engine can make? And what would you call it? A high breed?

The bottom half of a boss 351 is a cleveland. Depending on what year some had 4 bolt main caps like the boss 351 others did not. Only difference in the boss 351 and the quench chamber 351 cleveland heads is the guide plates so you can run a solid lift cam. The boss had a little more compression but the flat tops with quench heads was rated at 11:1, I think the boss was 11.5:1.

You need to get this book.

I got that book from a buddy of mine last week. It doesn't say much on the boss351, but is a excellent book.

The engine code is D2AE-EA and the intake is D1AS-9425-BB, and the only thing that i found on the heads is 9j25. The heads have the slotted pedestals and on the top corners there is a 4 cast on them.

Well going by the engine code D2AE-EA it looks like you have a very rare 1972 351c 4v HO which only 398 were built for 1yr only engine. It was basically a low compression Boss 351 engine with open chamber heads, solid lifter camshaft and was rated at 275hp. But since you said your heads have pedestal rockers, they can't be the factory HO heads because they would have had screw in studs for the solid cam. So your top end is not Boss 351 but regular 4v cleveland heads which are still good heads. You need the casting# from the heads to see what year they are and to find out if they have open chambers or closed. That # is located on the bottom of the heads under the intake manifold which BTW is a 1971 351c intake. It looks like some one has used different year cleveland parts to build your engine. Here's some good sites to get info on 351c's.

The heads are closed cambers with some work do to them. The intake casting number shows to be a cj intake. So it sounds like to me I have a part of history....lol

I know ditching that heavy cast iron intake will net you some more power from better air flow and weight savings by going aftermarket aluminum. You can pick up a good used one for not much money. Here's a couple on Corral for sale:

Next year I may just go with a 871 blower or pro charge. This year I'm just going to run what is on there.
