Default 79 Pace Car Steering hose question

I need to change the pressure hose on my 79. Its a 5.0 automatic. I was checking it out down below where the lines bolt on and there is a clamp around the lines. How do I go about changing this one line. I can't tell how the clamp is attached. I can see that it is a very tight spot to work in. Any tips on this would be very much appreciated!

I just replaced the rack on my 82 with a newer 15:1 rack and needed new hoses. The pressure one I got from the local Auto Value for ~87 (year not $)had that metal ring already on it for the clamp location. The actual P clamp should just unscrew and come off the hose to be reused.

The clamp that I am talking about is like a band around the 3 lines to keep them together. It is clamped around the lines right in the area where they are bolted to the rack.

OH. Got ya. Mine never had anything there. I just used a spare couple of inches of hose around each of them and strapped them together so they wouldn't rub.

    Good luck.

I have this same issue. How do you remove the old hose and install the new one. Not any room to work with because the K-Mamber is in the way. HELP!

There is a similar conversation going on in another thread as well:
