    Default Ignition coil/wire dilemma

Worked on finishing up most of the little odds/ends on the 82 today. I am using a set of ford motorsport wires that i have had for a while on the car. I ran into a small issue with my coil wire, however. The 82 uses the old cylindrical style coil with the female wire connector. It was originally on the intake, but i decided to move the coil the strut tower. I have two ford motorsport coil wires. One long one short. Problem is the long wire is for a coil with male post and the wire i have for the female connection is the short wire so doesn't reach now. Did the motorsport wires ever come with a long wire for the old style coil? If so, i am in need of one.

Or the other option i guess is to change the coil to one with a male connector, but I don't believe i have seen the old style coil with a male post.

    Thanks
    Kerry

I had the exact same problem with my 85. Summit has an adapter to change the tower on the coil to the male style. MSD-ASY10124.

Or just change the terminal and boot on the coil wire...
