You can, and it has been done. It dosent need to make more power to be faster and it surely wont slow down as long as you tune the carb and spark timing. As far as backpressure thats a bunch of bunk. Our engines will accelerate faster with less, yes even on the street... I honestly didnt know they had the site locked down so tight, sorry about that guys. Scottyou don't put 1.75' primary tube headers and a 3" exhaust on an otherwise stock naturally aspirated engine and expect it to make more power
