    Default Coolant sender...

The prevoius owner installed a aftermarket coolant gauge in my car and I am gonna install a stock one. My question is, what wires go to the coolant sender? Is it just the one red wire? Thanks!

Here is the aftermarket set up. All the wires go to the factory sender unit. However there is a red wire lying next to the sender. I'm assuming its the stock hookup wire?

Here is the coolant sender now. You can see the red wire on the right side.

Yes, the red wire appears to be the correct factory connection. Only one wire is needed since the sensor is grounded to the engine block.

Its actually RED/WHT (red with a white stripe). The unconnected one in your last pic is it.

Do tell, Matt. Someone might search for this similar problem and find this thread. It would be good to have the resolution in here, too.
