Default bough 1 1979 mustang in storage locker Help!

i dont know how much its worth in this condition or how to tell exactly what model. its complete though. from my research so far i think its a base model coupe 4 cyli, but how can i know for sure without getting a mechanic? someone was working on it because the steering wheel was off with tools all around. there was also some new exhaust pipes too, are they worth anything? i can always get a dup tiltle if i sell it as a whole car. if its worth it. ive already got offers for scrap but is it special? as you can see i need some help im having trouble with the pics, if anyone know a secret. i need help with that too!

Make sure that are uploading them and attaching them. If you are posting a image link, use flickr, photobucket or another similar site that allows image code for posting.

Post up the vin number and buck tag info in the "production numbers and decoding" section. That will give you some more info on what options the car has.

Unfortunately these cars really aren't bringing a lot of money, and because it doesn't have a V8 it won't be very desirable to the masses. The vinyl roof is a unique option and if its all original that another plus (people love original cars, but a lot of folks will want to drop a V8 into it). Post up some more pics if you can, I think it looks pretty cool, but I'm a sucker for a vinyl roof car.
    Cheers!

If you look at this page in the 1979 brochure, I think that they are the rims just below the TRX rims near the bottom of the page:

Its definately worth a few hundred bucks, but probably $1000 max (depending on how nice it cleans up and runs). Are you planning on selling? I would keep it, get it in nice runjing order, and daily drive it.
    Cheers!

thats what i decided. i had it towed and im in the process of cleaning it. it looks a little worse in the light, lol. but not too bad. im amazed how clean the rockers are for this area. i figured itd be rusted to death but the whole undercarriage is fine. needs a muffler thats it. so ill see how it goes. if it doesnt sell ill part it out on ebay or something, i just cant scrap it! thanks for the advice. ill post pics when i pretty er' up
