    Default '86 Notch

I was looking at this on CL when it was posted and wasn't sure I'd be able to pick it up before it sold. The owner allowed me to put a deposit on it and he held it for me. I brought it home last night. Here is a couple quick pics I took here at work.

Its a graduation gift for my son. He collects Batman stuff. I couldn't find seat covers so i bought a couple t-shirts at Walmart.

If it was mine I would tint the side markers and maybe lightly tint the tail lights and windows.

    Then 302 5 speed 8.8

    But thats just me.

I could repeat all the good comments that everybody just wrote ---- 'cept I like the seat cover (t-shirt). I like Batman and Robin stuff, too.

Sweet car. You got a good one. Thumbs up to you.

Very nice looking notch, I hope your son enjoys the he** out of it. Did you say the interior was dyed? What color should it be? Anyway, congrats on the purchase, she looks great!
    Cheers!

Yes, the interior was dyed and painted. The person who did it did a fairly thorough job. I pulled the ash tray and found a missed spot. The interior used to be light grey.

Wow, great score!! As far as exterior, I'd have to throw on a set of black centered Enkei rims (Aeromesh style) and lightly tint tint the windows and it'd be just about perfect!!

Glad i found it first...lol You're right about them being tough to find. The few i have seen you'd think had gold plating with the prices being asked.

IF my son gets some drive time and feels comfortible enough you may see this one at the bbq this year.

I would put the rear deck lid emblem on the correct side. Other than that the exterior looks great. Man, a set of 10 holes would make that car pop! Pick up a cheap set on Craigslist and liven that baby up! Sweet. And also ditch that chrome exhaust tip, looks like a pimp my ride mobile and doesnt fit such a well, preserved car. Love those 86 notches!!!

I hope to see this one at the bbq. I actually picked up a white 85 hatch in Oregon a couple weeks ago. Not sure I can get it ready for the bbq, but it would be fun to have black and white notches there.
