I had to have surgery on my shoulder a couple months ago so I kind of stopped caring and modifications to the car were put on hold.... A few issues developed as well. The car now has a new headlight switch and a new timing cover gasket... The car has always leaked a bit of oil and fixing the timing cover gasket helped(replaced front seal). The old harmonic balancer was shot as well so I purchased a new one. Anyways I'm now thinking I fixed one leak might as well fix the rest so here in the next few days I'm going to grab new valve cover gaskets. Thinking about doing a tune up as well. And hopefully soon(when money allows) getting a stealth intake manifold. I also picked up some bbk shorty headers for 50 bucks and am on the lookout for the rest of my exhaust. I need to find a job and then the modding will commence again.

Hey I messaged you on here awhile back, I'd like to swing by sometime and talk with ya!

Also last night I converted it to dual exhaust. Got the new crossmember, new hanger, o/r h pipe, and bbk headers on the car. I have to take the car up to the guy who welds up my exhausts for me so he can combine the flow tubes to the mufflers and to the turndowns. It should sound good with mufflers on it. Right now it's just really loud (open h pipe).

Winter is almost over thank god. The civic I was daily driving took a dump on me so I scrapped it, I actually got more than I paid for it. So I got my mustang back together. I installed a new water pump and an electric fan.

Also pulled the power steering pump and looped the lines. So now I'm back to this being my daily...

I had a guy come start grinding out the rust on the doors, the lip on the lower parts of the doors aren't in the best shape, on the passenger side there's a 4-5 inch chunk of the lip missing. The guy I had doing my bodywork said it would be fine to just glass over it.... So I took it to my buddy who use to work at a custom body shop and he told me to order new skins... So that's what I'm going to do. I'll keep you guys updated.

Thank you and it is true duals now, it's got bbk shorty headers, off-road h pipe, and dumped flowmaster 40s on it.

Yes it is, it's just really faded.... After I get all the body work done it's probably going to get professionally plasti dipped until I can afford a good paint job. I'm young and money is tight lol.

Update... Painted the small rust issues with Eastwood rust encapsulator... I followed the directions don't worry.

This car is starting to become overwhelming. I'm having a few issues.

Issue 1: exhaust leak I can't find. It sounds like an exhaust leak but I can't hear or feel a leak at any of the connections. It also sounds like it's around the top of the motor and echoing through the exhaust, I took a screwdriver and tried placing my ear to it and putting it all over the motor (ghetto stethoscope) and can't hear anything in the motor. I'm taking it to the exhaust shop that I have do all my welding to take a look.

Issue 2: my carb, it is hard as hell to start. I actually found that the choke rod was disconnected from the choke plate. I reconnected it but it still doesn't seem to choke everytime I set it. I'm going to have to look at it again. Also the idle is low and coming up to a stop it will sometimes idle really low 5-600 rpm and even at times stall out. Around corners it will lose power at times as well.

Issue 3: intake and valve cover leaks. I ordered studs and got new valve cover gaskets to fix that and I'm hopefully going to order a new intake soon to fix that leak.

Issue 4: brakes, my rear brakes are shot and making horrid noises. I have all the stuff to fix them just need time.

Issue 5: ball joints, I need to put in new ball joints. My passenger side has play in it. Hopefully ordering those Friday.

Issue 6: clutch, tonight I was driving and floored it in 2nd. It seemed like the motor would get loud but go nowhere. I did it again and watched the tach and speedo. The speedo and tach rose simultaneously, maybe it was just slight wheel spin I was experiencing as it is cold here in Ohio. I'm going to try the 5th gear at 25 test. We will see what happens. I will keep everyone updated.

Issue 7: a/c. The lines on top of the compressor started spraying refrigerant everywhere a few weeks ago. A tech where I work said either the compressor is on it's way out or it's just a seal. I'm debating on pulling the whole system and selling it.

I love this car but boy is it a money pit. I don't mind it just sucks because I daily it and can't find time to work on it with my current job.

Well I took the car to the exhaust shop and my guy said no leaks. So that's good. I hate drum brakes but got em done tonight and my clutch isn't slipping. Put it in 4th and 5th at 25mph and got on it and it pulled like it was suppose to so that's good. My valve cover studs will be here tomorrow. So hopefully this weekend I can get the valve cover leaks buttoned up.

Fun stuff... The arp valve cover studs I got were a pain in the ass so I just used them to get everything in place and put the bolts back in. The driver side gasket didn't seal at first, I had to knock the dowel pin type things off of the cover. Looks to be sealed now, going to go back over them tomorrow just to be sure.... Slowly but surely. The old gaskets literally fell apart once I removed the covers.

So I decided to just keep the car. My clutch is slipping pretty bad now, I posted a thread about the issue. I ordered some parts from maximum motorsports to hopefully solve the issue but we will see. Also I loved the fact that the car had the stock radio, but I'm really into stereos so after over a year of suffering with the crappy sound quality of the stock system I decided to upgrade it. When I trimmed the dash to fit the aftermarket radio, I took off a little too much. So what I did was make a custom trim ring out of 1/4'' MDF and wrap it in a black vinyl. Then got the radio all mounted and looking nice. I also installed some Polk 3.5's in the dash, the stock speakers were toasted! Here are some pics:

Also where can I find the clip to hold the choke rod into the plate!?!?!?!?!?

Well the other night a few friends and I were out playing and I ended up destroying my stock T5. I lost first, second, third, and reverse. I was actually thinking about selling the car but it needs too many little items and now with a broken transmission I won't be able to get any kind of money out of it. So it looks like I'll just turn it into a weekend/drag strip car. I'm thinking about going with a T5Z, I imagine it should do fine with what is in the car now and I'm not going to powershift it. I've also thought about going with a built automatic. I'm open to suggestions!
