Second and hopefully final surgery done not quite two weeks ago. I'm up and around, doing stuff, staying close to a toilet, an unpleasant result of the surgeries. Hopefully that should resolve itself given time. I washed to mustang today and got a few pictures for the insurance company. Grundy gave me the best rate, going to do that stuff later in the week. I thought I would share some pics.

Look Ma, normal glass quarter windows.

Interior could use some sprucing up. I need to get the rear seat back recovered to match the front seats. Drivers seat isn't stained, just wet, stupid T-tops

I didn't do any cleaning to the engine compartment, certainly could use it. Needs a general straightening up too. My Edelbrock air filter had the center bit come loose, glad I caught it before it went into the blower. That is what the green tape is for. Kinda disappointing in the quality of that part.

Your a freekin legand, Jess. Thankyou for the update.

You get away with the C word, the LS throttle body swap was pretty close to the bone, but your attiude with your condition is best. Just Mind blowing.

I like all your cars...not affraid to be proper performance machines. What a Mustang should be. My mate down here imports 460 Big Blocks...would like to import more of them, but they end up in Toranas if the are C#%^, and XD Falcons if they are 460's.

SO......What's it like working on an engine born without 4.9" bore spacings?

Do you remember where you got the pulley you added to increase the belt wrap on the blower pulley? I've been having difficulty sourcing one.

Dang Jess, it's been awhile since I checked in on this thread. Sorry to hear about the cancer, but I'm glad you are tackling it with the same attitude and drive you have done on your cars. Prayers headed your way that you put this behind you and get back to the finer things in life.

The coupe looks like it is coming along great!

The idler pulleys are factory 03-04 Cobra pieces.

Ectasy, working on the 460 isn't really much different than a SBF, you can definitely see the family resemblance between the two when they are torn down to their shortblock form. I will be revisiting the LS throttle body in the future. Just want to drive the car now.

Thanks guys for the nice comments.

I guess this is the end of this thread. I sold the car yesterday. I never did get it on the road last year, and previous years when it was on the road I was only driving a few hundred miles a year. It's the first time in 21 years I've been without a fox body mustang. I bought a 1979 f-150 that I am going to build a big block for, use it for a spring, summer, fall, daily driver, and tow our camper. I guess that the cancer journey has changed me, priorities are a bit different now, going to spend more time with my kids while they are still young. I'll still be on here a few times a week though. See you around.

Sorry to hear you sold the Mustang, but I completely understand the change in priorities. I am sure you will have a blast with the F-150 and will do it justice. Hope you continue to hang out and keep us all on our toes.

Hope things continue to go well for you and definitely enjoy all the time you can with the kids while they are young. They grow up fast and you can never get those days back.

Your cars are epic and your advice excellent, as always. 4.38 and 4.9 inch bore spacings....Windsor 351's and Big Blocks rule the world!

Good health, and Tune in, Check in,and Don't Drop Out....

I'm sad to hear you got rid of it, but I totally understand. Enjoy your family. Maybe one day you'll get the itch for another 4 eye to tow behind your F150. Maybe something you and your kids can plan out and work on. I hope your cancer issues are behind you! Good luck!

I have a video from the new owner of him letting the mustang stretch its legs. It's in mp4 format, not sure how to upload it here.

Jess, I saw that video and it is amazing! This car rules!

A bit off topic, he says you are building a kick ass Bronco. Would there by chance be a build thread for that one?

Small world. Where did you come across the mustang video?

I haven't updated this thread in a while. I was sick for most of 2017, so not much progress then. Early this year I made some headway on the floor until I got a 1979 f-150 2wd supercab. Which, surprise needed a floor and a big block upgrade. . I'll get back on the bronco later this year.

I got a Flicker account but haven't gotten around to figuring out how to post pictures here using it.

The new owner has posted a ton of videos on the Mustang Facebook groups. He seems to be pretty ecstatic to own it, as he has probably a half dozen videos and tons of pics floating around FB.

I will have to say that it sure looks and sounds like a beast.

I hope things are looking up for you bud.
