Today, I finally got around to installing the Redline parking break boot in the car.

I started by removing the two screws that hold the cover in place.
Then carefully lifted it up and slid it back to remove it.
Then I removed all the clips that hold the retainer and rubber seal to to cover.
Following this, I used a dremel to remove the alignment pins on the back and ground the cover down so the velcro would stick.
Here is the cover with the rubber seal removed.





Here is what the boot looks like before the velcro is attached. The instructions ask for 1/2" velcro but Wlmart only had the 3/4" in black.

Then, I attached the velcro to the plastic cover.



Following this, I put the other half of the velcro on the parking brake boot and attached it to the cover.





Here is what it looks like before going in the car.

Redline tells you that it will be a snug fit to get the boot over the parking brake...they aren't kidding, but it does fit.

So, I've been away from here for a while, but I continue to check up on what's happening from time to time (stay healthy my friends).
I still have a bunch of catching up to do. Hope to be more active again in 2019.
In 2018, the car was used about 4 times but that should increase this year.

Then next thing I have planned is to install is the Billet Automotive Buttons for the tranny brake (momentary switch) and the overdrive lockout (on/off switch). This way, they will both look the same. The buttons will be mounted in the console.

Everytime I see this car on kijiji up for sale it surprises me when people comment about the price. Youhave 100s of hours and it is done the way we should be building projects. Measure twice cut once.

Not too much is new. Haven't had the car out much. It's been a strange summer so far. Didn't like the feeling of the bushings in the rear so I gave it a set of MM lower control arms. Big difference.

Well, 2020 is over and gone. Couldn't really use the car much with everything cancelled. Went for a few tours by myself and one with my wife and one with my dad. All were enjoyable. Decided I would try that tool that fits in the drill and bevels bolts. I used it to bevel the ends of my wheel studs. Did an amazing job. I was quite surprised. So, for now, the car hibernates until spring. Hope everyone is doing well.

Great build. I purchased mine from redline as well. I thought I was going to tear the material when I tried to install it over the handle. They definitely clean up the look of the interior.
